JP Calderon
(Pro Volleyball Player/Reality Star/Fashion Model)

John Paul "J.P." Calderon is a professional volleyball player, model and reality television participant. JP returned for his second season of the Oxygen Network’s The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency in 2007 and currently graces the cover of Instinct Magazine (March 2008) for the second time, one year after he came out in the magazine and on the show. Prior to The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, J.P. was best known on television as a contestant on the controversial racially segregated Survivor: Cook Islands, the 13th season of the CBS reality show.

On Survivor: Cook Islands, Calderon started off as one of five members of the Hispanic "Aitutaki" tribe. Calderon was the fourth cast member voted off in a 7/2 split. In 2007, Calderon joined the cast of the 2nd season of The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. On the show, Calderon was approached to appear on the cover of Instinct magazine, a magazine that requires that its male cover models be openly gay. Instinct confirmed that Calderon identified as gay, and he was featured in the February 2007 issue, including the cover, a photo spread, feature story and interview.
The magazine appearance confirmed J.P.’s status as the breakout model of The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency’s 2nd season, and catapulted him to the front pages of gay media nationally. His return for season three stirred up much discussion among online fans.

J.P. Calderon grew up in Marina del Rey, California and attended California State University, Long Beach, where he played for the school's nationally ranked men's volleyball team and graduated with a degree in speech communication in 2000. He began his professional volleyball career in 2004 and became a nationally ranked Association of Volleyball Professionals player prior to his appearance on Survivor: Cook Islands.

David Moretti
(Actor)

David Moretti, the young star of here! TV's The Lair, knew he had to leave the complacent, conservative bubble that was his hometown of Cranston, Rhode Island. "When you are little you think Hollywood is going to look like Oz or something," he explains in a less hackneyed, yet still country drawl. "When you get here you see hookers on street corners and more tour busses than Bentleys."

After a summer internship in Los Angeles, Moretti transferred from Boston College to the University of Southern California. At USC, he majored in English with a minor in film and belonged to the Delta Chi fraternity. A fraternity brother spotted his picture, hat pulled low to obscure his face, on a networking site where Moretti had identified himself as gay. The brother, who was openly gay, took it upon himself to out Moretti. He forwarded the profile to Moretti's entire fraternity class.

Shortly thereafter, he came upon the audition notice for The Lair. The show's casting agent couriered Moretti a fifty page script of the show's pilot and gave him a mere two days to prepare for the audition. He played it cool and twenty-four hours later was offered the role of 'Thom'. That's when the real stress began.

Moretti decided to accept the role, concluding that it would be best for him to embrace his being gay now, as opposed to later in his career. Additionally, Moretti likes the idea of being part of the new movement in gay television. "I'm proud to be part of a show that is entertaining our culture. Gay heroes and villains are a concept not often explored and here! TV should be commended for being the first network to make it happen." Moretti continues his role as 'Thom' for a second season currently in production.
Since debuting on The Lair, Moretti has also appeared as a guest star on here! TV's Dante's Cove. He finished filming Fall of 2007 in the Turk & Caicos Islands on Director Rex Piano’s A Date With Murder for Regent Releasing. Scheduled for release in early 2008, A Date With Murder stars Moretti with David Chokachi, Robyn Lively, Alexandra Paul and Bart Johnson. The film is about a woman trying to piece together the clues leading up to her sister’s death by walking a mile in her shoes.
